A participant may enter ANY of the Graded Categories below if they are any age up to and including 18.
For example, you can be 10 years old and enter grade 2, grade 5 or any other grade, depending on your current level.

Participants must choose TWO PIECES from the latest graded exam syllabus. The permitted exam boards are ABRSM, Trinity and LCM.

Please note:

  • The two pieces must be from DIFFERENT LISTS (time periods)
  • Own choice pieces are not permitted in this category
  • If entering this category, a competitor needs to perform TWO PIECES.
  • As in the syllabus of Trinity a duet is included, one of the pieces can be a duet, performed with either adult- parent, teacher or similar age pianist. Only the candidate’s part will be marked.

Please note that musical repeats are not permitted, unless specifically requested by the exam board in the score.

Playing from memory is encouraged, but not compulsory. Please note that if a competitor plays from memory and does so well, then this will be taken into account in the adjudicators’ scores.

One photocopy of each piece is required for the adjudicators. This will need to be sent upon application.
