Emilia Neukomm

Emilia Neukomm was born in Varna, Bulgaria. She currently lives in Switzerland and works
as a devoted piano teacher in Schenkenbergertal and Fislisbach Music Schools. She is also an
associate teacher in educational piano program, teaches children from early age to adult
students and a jury member of the yearly Music Test Exams.
Emilia won international prizes for young pianists such as in Usti-nad-Labem, Czechoslovakia,
Brahms and Chopin Competitions in Sofia.
She has performed for the Bulgarian television and has played in the Academic Symphony
Orchestra in Sofia.
As a concert pianist Emilia has played at numerous solo, chamber and vocal concerts in
Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Greece, Bulgaria, Czechia and Slovakia.
She graduated with honors in Sofia, Bulgaria at the Lyubomir Pipkov’s Music School
and in the National Academy of Music Pancho Vladigerov with a Master Music of Arts.
Later specializing in Solo Performance at the Konservatorium der Stadt Wien in
Vienna, Austria in the class of Prof. Franz Zettl.
After completing her studies she assisted Prof. Atanas Kurtev and worked in the
instrumental, theoretical and ballet faculties as an Accompanist in the Music Academy of
Sofia.
